Description
CDI Engineering Solutions has an opening for an Instrument Technician at a client site in the DE/ NJ Philadelphia area.
You will perform duties under the general direction of management, but able to work independently to perform installation, monitoring, maintenance, repair, calibration and/or design modification of high-tech distributed manufacturing and industrial process control systems.
This entails optimizing system designs, maintenance and operations processes; satisfying all safety concerns; and participating in short and long range planning perspective with respect to instrumentation, controls, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Assists in the development, implementation, repair, installation, calibration ,documentation and maintenance of the site wide instrumentation.
Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, documentation, loop commissioning and start-up support.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of a 2 year degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent experience and training.
A minimum of 1 year industrial or powerplant experience.
ISA CERTIFICATION HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
Track record of achieving positive results and increased engineering leadership responsibilities.
Very strong process controls background related to the industrial or biotech pharmaceutical field is required.
Experience must include but is not limited to:
Product recognition systems.
Instrumentation including temperature, pressure, flow, mass density and level. Familiarity with Smart Field Communicators and Smart based instrumentation.
Database architecture and system interfaces.
Well experienced with process and system controls.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret and troubleshoot electrical/electronic circuits, P&IDs and loop drawings..
